My first helicopter a MFA sport 500 with no collective pitch.  I didn't keep it long.

Next I bought a Kalt Baron 28 from Ebay. This was a pretty nice helicopter. It had collective pitch ,but no autorotation clutch.

This is what It looked like Just before death. Much better huh. This heli didn't stay in my corral long. I'm still an amateur at flying and this heli  acted just like a lawn dart and destroyed it self in the ground. I found out when I went to get parts for it that it was over 20 years old and no parts where available. So  it went on Ebay.

Next I bought a Nexus 30.Very nice machine. This heli has it all collective pitch ,autorotation clutch, and yes they are still in production and parts are still available and pretty reasonably priced too. By far my favorite heli I've owned. Well here she is. Just got her together. I haven't decided on a paint scheme yet so she still looks quite plain.

It's alive.  I finally got the engine in it (an Enya 35) and with knees knocking and forehead sweating lift off was accomplished. I flew 6 tanks of fuel through it the first day. Well let me be honest here, my friend/trainer flew 5 1/2 tanks and I flew 1/2 tank. It was ugly but I'm  getting a little more comfortable at flying these crazy things.

Update....... I have another web site that is dedicated to my homebuilt helicopters. It has a lot of cool stuff on it. I will be putting the rest of my progress/construction pictures on that site instead of this one. Hover on over to www.homebuilthelicopter.8m.com  to check it out.

Death wish? Well that's what my friends think ,but this has been my dream for a long, long time. I finally came across a true full size helicopter that I could afford. It is a experimental  Rotor way Scorpion 133. It's a kit that I will be spending a few years to put together. This is what it looked like when I drug it home.
